What are the duties of owners of trees and bushes?

Trees and bushes are protected from damage and destruction according to the Act, and even in the case that they are growing on private property. The duties of the owner are to care for and maintain the woody plants. If you have a serious reason for felling trees or bushes on your property, you must usually obtain permission to do so from a nature protection body. In the case that the woody plants are affected by a serious disease, then the nature protection body may order the owner to carry out necessary actions, including an order to fell the trees or bushes.
