The forestry management policy
The concrete management strategy in individual forest stands is not only based on the current zoning but also on the designated target extent of stands to be left to natural development and the current condition of the stands (degree of naturalness of the forest and the forest stand type).
In the management process emphasis is placed on leaving dead and rotting wood in the forest stands as it is an integral part of the natural and near natural ecosystems. The aim is to maintain and form specific biotopes for animals and plants, which are closely bound to these environments.
