The number of cloudless days increases as we move to areas at higher elevations above sea level. The average number of clear, sunny days around Znojmo is 39.5 per year, but in the higher, western part of the park there are 54.2 cloudless days per year. This difference can be seen in the summer and early autumn. The average number of overcast days is 123.8 in the west of the park, rising to 137.5 days in the eastern section.
